Eat vegan for a better microbiome and excellent gut health
The human gut is home to trillions of micro-organisms, comprising thousands of different species. These micro-organisms are also known as microbiota, and the entire collection of them in the gut is known as the gut microbiome, which helps to control and protect gut health.
Research has shown that a vegan or plant-based diet can lead to a more diverse and stable set of gut microbiota, which are beneficial to human health generally. Among other things, the improved gut microbiome has a protective effect against inflammation and degenerative diseases.
