Gut Health

The human gut is home to trillions of micro-organisms, comprising thousands of different species. These micro-organisms are also known as microbiota, and the entire collection of them in the gut is known as the gut microbiome.

Research has shown that a vegan or plant-based diet can lead to a more diverse and stable set of gut microbiota, which are beneficial to human health. Among other things, the improved gut microbiome has a protective effect against inflammation and degenerative diseases.
