Eating vegan could be a great way to live longer
Following a vegan diet can improve your health in many different ways, and could help you to live longer as well. Whilst this is a fairly new area of research, there is mounting evidence that vegan and plant-based diets can reduce mortality and extend longevity. One recent study showed that eliminating meat and switching to a plant-based diet, with a much greater intake of legumes, whole grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables, can increase life expectancy by up to 10 years.
